This animation was developed for the thesis of a script writing student at INIS. An animated game with two alternate interactive storylines, it tells the tale of a washed up boxer in the 1940s in Montreal, Canada. The game section of this project (which is featured above) was the introduction to a complex storyline where participants could view the same story using alternate view points. Participants can also play this game by using arrow keys in their keyboards. However, the game is rigged, no one can win this fight!
Part of Coolstreak's mandate was to create the animation and the game. Using bitmap pictures instead of vector illustrations in this project game it an old film look. Although the game and the animation were composited and assembled within Flash, Adobe AfterEffects and Adobe Photoshop were used extensively. This game redefines the classic Flash look and proves that Flash is not a limit to creativity in the right hands.
